As part of its focus on Maternal and Child Health, the Rotary Club of Biratnagar Downtown organized a thoughtful initiative to support expecting mothers from the local underprivileged community and RCC. The program involved the distribution of comprehensive maternity kits, which included essential items such as baby dresses, baby covers, maternity nighties, Horlicks, Dettol, bathing and washing soap, mix khichdi packets, sanitary napkins, mats, and fruits.
A total of 40 pregnant women benefitted from these kits, which were carefully curated to support their needs during both pre-delivery and post-delivery phases.
The total cost of the project was 42,000 NPR, reflecting Rotary’s dedication to addressing the challenges faced by underprivileged women during pregnancy and contributing to the health and well-being of both mothers and their babies.
