Rotary Club of Biratnagar Downtown extended a heartwarming gesture by donating warm clothes to its adopted school, Shiv Aadharbhut Vidyalaya on 1st January.
A total of 149 cozy sweaters were distributed, ensuring that the students could brave the winter chill with comfort and warmth. Meanwhile, on the 3rd of January in Budhanagar village, our club reached out to support 30 single mothers. These resilient women were provided with saris, sweaters, essential toiletries, and health tonics, addressing both practical needs and health concerns during the harsh weather.
The distribution of sarees and sweets to 50 lady road sweepers on 1st November, during Diwali aimed at spreading joy and making them feel appreciated. Each gift, presented in a cloth bag adorned with a Rotary logo and club name emblem, reflected a sustainable approach by utilizing old clothes for stitching—a project promoting the best out of waste.
Deputy Mayor Shilpa Nirala Karki graced the occasion as the distinguished chief guest, adding significance to the event. Seeing the happiness of the lady sweepers during the festive season was very thoughtful.
