• We conducted a workshop on substance abuse at Biratnagar’s St. Joseph School. The resource person was Rtn. Santosh Jain, a psychosocial counselor, and Past president. Students learned that substance abuse is defined as the dangerous or excessive use of drugs, alcohol, or other addictive compounds, which frequently has a detrimental impact on a person’s social, mental, and physical health and how to overcome such situations.

• 200 students of classes 9 and 10 were the beneficiaries.
• Substance abuse workshops in schools help students understand the risks, prevent misuse, reduce stigma, make better choices, improve learning, build community support, and create a safe, healthy school environment.
